Being new to town, and desiring some exercise, I came across this ridge on the shores of Lake Moondarra. It looked like it should provide some great views of the lake and surrounds, so up I went!
This little walk should take about 2 hours or so. NOT RECOMMENDED in the middle of the day in Summer...
Well, you know the old adage - "What goes up, must come down". Well, this is the coming down part! Navigate to waypoint FC, where you will find the best point to cross under the fence, and also the loose, rocky track down the slope to the cache. Best to take some care down this slope, as the rocks are quite loose in places. Watch the kids closely.
Mr Garmin was giving me an Elevation reading of 342m if that helps! You are looking for a small Sistema.
This is (currently) the last in the Rocky Ridge Ramble series. If you have made it this far, congratulations! From here, make your way North to the road and enjoy the flat walk back to your car.
