The Clawson Theatre

The movie house was built in 1941, along with the Ambassador Roller Rink (now a retail store) and showed many second-run films throughout its time here. but the last film was shown in about 1962.
Since then the building has been used as a warehouse, café, and light industrial site but has been vacant in recent years.

Plans for the 7,800 square foot site include replacing the marquee and restoring the building for use as additional retail space a well-known retailer as well as embracing the history and the spirit of “The Show”, as the locals called it.
This piece of Clawson history was well-known and loved for many years. Anyone who attended shows here has many fond memories of the theatre and it's "hometown" feel.
