A short 2-stage multi that will take you to the “Hillside” sculpture commissioned by the Craiglockhart Community Council commemorating WW1 officer Wilfred Owen's poetry and the inspiration of the Craiglockhart area.
The coordinates take you to the “Hillside” sculpture commissioned by the Craiglockhart Community Council and created by artist Lara Green which was unveiled on the 19th December 2012.
This new piece of public art represents the Craiglockhart environment and takes inspiration from the poetry of the war poet Wilfred Owen. On the south face it features symbolism in the form of gorse and brambles, endemic features of the area and Wilfred Owen’s Poem “Spring Offensive”. The north face of the sculpture features the image of a Hydra, the many headed snake and informative plaques about Owen and his time in Craiglockhart.
