Geocache Description:

Do You Believe In Magic

by
The Lovin' Spoonful

"Do You Believe in Magic" is a song written by John Sebastian. In 1965, Sebastian was part of the group, The Lovin' Spoonful. The song was released as the first single from their debut album Do You Believe in Magic. The song was well received by the public and became a top ten hit on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at #9.

According to the lyrics, the magic referenced in the title is the power of music to supply happiness and freedom to both those who make it and those who listen to it.

Do you remember the lyrics, here's a little sample !

Do you believe in magic in a young girl's heart
How the music can free her, whenever it starts
And it's magic, if the music is groovy
It makes you feel happy like an old-time movie
I'll tell you about the magic, and it'll free your soul
But it's like trying to tell a stranger 'bout rock and roll,
