You will find this cache somewhat near the west entrance to the McLaughlin Eastshore State Park along Marina Boulevard.
The cache is another of my "wild bird caches"--each of which is named after wild bird species that I happened to see from GZ while hiding the cache.
This particular cache is dedicated to the Cooper's Hawk--which is a beautiful raptor commonly seen in the SF Bay Area.
Members of the genus Accipiter, Cooper's Hawks are primarily still hunters which perch inconspicuously on tall objects such as trees and poles, awaiting an opportune moment to swoop down on small mammals and reptiles.
Shortly after I placed this cache, I saw one of them soaring along just above tree-line before perching on a nearby power pole.
The cache is a nano hidden in a somewhat familiar style which can be a park and grab--but, if you can, take some time to visit and enjoy McLaughlin Eastshore State Park!
