Geocache Description:

A cache along the Deschutes River below Maupin.  Bring your fishing rod and GPS and have some fun.

The area below Maupin really needed some caches.  You can get to the cache site by either coming down the canyon from Tygh Valley to Sherar's Bridge and go up the access road towards Maupin or take Hwy 197 into Maupin and follow the access road down the river.  You will know where the name comes from when you get there.  Follow your GPS up the hill to the cache site.  It is a small/medium lock and lock full of goodies with an unactivated geocoin for FTF.
