Geocache Description:

myr·i·ad

1. A vast number
2. Archaic Ten thousand

10,000

Not very often can many geocachers claim they have found 10000 caches, for some it seems a lifetime away, almost unbelievable or an unreachable amount by many and only a select few have reached this milestone here in Australia so far.

We are very proud to announce that two very well respected Australian geocachers,
Marcus Vitruvius & Pprass will be hitting their respective milestones at the same time & have decided to share this amazing journey with a joint event here on the border to celebrate the occasion.

We would like to invite you all to come and share this special milestone with us & rub shoulders with some caching legends.

MARCUS VITRUVIUS:

Marcus Vitruvius

Marcus Vitruvius, (believe it or not but also know as Warren)
started his Geocaching journey right here in Albury/Wodonga with his first find being “Bridges of Botany”  GC131EP by The Tickells in June 2007.

Since his first find here on the Border he has moved a couple of times (to freshen up his “close to home lists” ) settling in Canberra for a short while & now making his home in Newcastle, NSW where he is starting to torture them with his challenging & elegant puzzles that we are lucky enough to have still active here on the Border.

For those who know Warren, not only is he a top bloke, but very passionate, knowledgable, adventurous & I have no doubt he would be one of Australia’s most extreme cachers, who goes to great lengths to find both physical & mentally challenging caches.

MV has been able to complete the “All Rounder”
Difficulty/Terrain grid, and continiously working towards other challenges.
You need to be quick for a FTF if he's around too!

PPRASS:

Team Pprass

Team Pprass are a husband & wife team; Peter & Catherine
who’s home base is now the beautiful seaside town of Port Macquarie, NSW after a move in 2010 from the “big smoke” of Melbourne.
They started their
geocaching journey back in 2003 and their first cache was
“I See Elephants”
GCH6BG by Team Crackers.

Pprass have incorporated their love of travel, adventure & meeting new friends with their geocaching hobbie whilst travelling throughout Australia.

Peter & Catherine love a good physical & mental challenge and are always more than happy to have a catch up as they pass through various towns with other geocachers & pass on some of their wisdom.
For those of you who know Peter & Catherine you would agree they are one of the most genuine couples around.

Pprass have filled in their 366 Caching Day calendar &
also the "All rounder Diff/Terr “All Rounder” grid.

A great story which you may hear on the day..........

The very first Geocacher Marcus Vitruvius met in the “wild” was Pprass, and not only did they strike up a great friendship then, but have also leap frogged each other from about 4000 finds, swapping the lead for ‘most finds by a NSW cacher’ & have now decided to hit the 10,000 milestone together!
