This is the site of the former Stony Lake Yacht Club. But it never was a club. Nor were there ever any yachts. Indeed, one can’t even see the water from this establishment. So John, the current owner (further noting that "yacht clubs" tend to be private and exclusive) decided it was time to jettison this name of so many years in favor of the more public and welcoming - - Stony Lake Inn.
This cache should be an easy find. If you don’t find it, you’re probably looking in the wrong spot. Keep in mind, our two GPS’s used to document the coordinates couldn’t agree with each other nor with themselves over a period of several hours. We really don’t know what the true coordinates are! We’re sure it’s in Michigan. Use your geocaching sense.
