Nice view of the North Sea from the top of this sand dune.
This cache has been repaired and replaced and is now fit for service.
Dune was the second cache I ever attempted before I adopted it from Steve (NIA) who retired from caching, and I have painful memories of it. It is not for the faint hearted and not recommended for small children.
This cache is a small food box. It is well hidden in the undergrowth but just visible. There are a lot of thorn bushes to contend with. Also a lot of tourists in the Summer I would guess! There are fences on some sides of this area.
A few hints about this cache are worth noting. The area has changed considerably since the cache was first placed due to the density of the Sea Buckthorn which is very prickly. From the car park (Charges Apply) walk toward the beach where there are steps to the beach. Don't go down to the beach, but climb over the handrail keeping the fence to your left. The ground is uneven but can be negotiated with care. Again your are warned that the cache is unsuitable for small children. Continue until the cache is indicated to your left by your GPSr, you should now cross over the broken down fence and start your climb to the top of the dunes. Now just follow the arrow.
