Back in May of 2012 I came out here with my nephew, and sad to say the heat on this highway beat us. We were only able to find the first 600 caches in the series. Of course we had come from an area where we were use to the temp being a cool 55degrees, a few hours later we were on R66 and the temps were well over 100 degrees. My prius was giving a read out of 113degrees for most of the afternoon. Sad to say we didn't finish. Came back this February and enjoyed finishing up the series, and the temps were only in the low 70's. Perfect caching weather! This should be a quick find, just to fill in a small hole on R66. Thanks to everyone who has extended this series the past few miles to I40.
