Geocache Description:

The cache IS NOT at the listed coordinates.

There IS a BONUS CACHE so please make a note of the bonus number in the logbook.

Some of the logbooks are in the wrong caches but this will not matter for the bonus as long as you find #9 - #16.

This is a series of caches that I was inspired to create by Red_Family's series of Homburg caches called Grosse Namen and Ich Trage Einen Grossen Namen.

Each of the people in this series were born (MADE) in Germany. Later in life they immigrated to the USA and became citizens of America.  Many of them had a great influence on the USA and the rest of the world.  I hope that each person who completes this series learns a little bit more about how our two countries, German and The United States of America, are forever connected.

HINT:

I am a man.
I was born in what is now Baden-Wuerttemberg.
I am dead.

Too Difficult?  Maybe this will help:

When I was still in school my family moved to Italy.
In 1896 I renounced my German citizenship to avoid military service.
My first child was a girl born out of wedlock.
My second wife was my maternal first cousin.
In 1933, while visiting the USA, I decided to stay due to the rise of the Nazism and became a US citizen in 1940.

Do you know who I am now? No?

I won a Nobel Prize
I was President of the Deutsche Physikalische Gesellschaft for three years.
I died in 1955 and am still considered one of the greatest scientists of all time.
