The Red Hills are a mountain range in Tuolumne County, California. Elevations within the Red Hills vary between 750 and 1,750 feet above sea level. Slopes of the hills themselves vary from about 30% to 75%. Recreational opportunities such as hiking, horse back riding, mountain biking and seasonal wildflower veiwing can be enjoyed here. This is a small cache just off one of the many unnamed and unmarked trails of the Red Hills. This trail Starts at the west end of the RailRoad Grade Trail and run through a small valley, Half way down the trail forks. One turns north and heads back up to the Railroad Grade Trail and the other turns south and head to the Red Hils Trail just off Red Hills Road. This small creek that runs just below the cache is a neat little creek . If you follow it you will see at times the creek is dry and in other places it will come bubbling up out of the ground and then a little further down stream it will disappear like it was never there. Great place to have fun and explore. Be careful and be safe.
