This may be a under water cache that is placed close to the shore. Depending on the time of year this cache could be 1m+ under the water. In summer it is only about 0.5m under water. No need to swim to get this one. But you may get very wet.
Ps. It seems GPS units dont like the area and tend to jump around. please use the hint and pics to help you.
Please, Please place this cache back where you found it. I have "averaged " the difficulty and terrain rating's as this will be dependent on how full the dam is.

The cache is placed at the Lewis Gay Dam Some background: Lewis Gay Dam (holding 86 million litres when full but currently at least half empty for unknown reasons – not including shortage of rain during the past winter!) is one of several dams in the Red Hill and Klaver Valley area supplying water to Simon’s Town. It was opened in 1952 and has a reinforced concrete wall. Together with the nearby Kleinplass Dam the water supply was enough to meet Simon’s Town needs until 1982. Since the mid-90s the supply has been supplemented from the City of Cape Town supply and the navy dams in Klaver Valley. Several options are under current consideration to further enhance supply to meet greatly increased future demand, amongst which are the construction of a further dam in Brooklands valley. But this is controversial not least because of sensitive environmental concerns in this protected area. Thanks to SawaSawa for the info.
It's a short walk to GZ from the parking. Park at the gate by the side of the dam wall at S 34 deg 10.015 E 018 deg 23.786 Please note that the dirt road leading to this parking spot is not for low vehicle's.

Please note that young kids will need supervision. Take your own pen/pencil. Please use stealth when retrieving and replacing the cache. (please place it back the way you found it, if not placed back in it's spot it may go missing)
