Where's My Stick? Traditional Cache
MMCachers: I'm moving out of the area and won't be able to support my hides, so I'm archiving them. This will open some areas for new caches :-)

Camo’d match holder near the ball fields at Platte River State Park, Nebraska. It’s close to a picnic area, playground, swimming pool, and latrine (don’t confuse the last 2). There should be parking available nearby – if it’s full, take to the trails for some exploration and enjoy the park while you’re caching!
The name of this cache comes from the day I was scouting sites with two fellow cachers – we walked and slid in muddy areas for quite a while then set off to see the waterfall – as I dealt with slick mud on inclines and declines, I realized I didn’t have my walking stick any more. On our way back, you can imagine where we found it – it was patiently waiting for me to retrieve from this site. ☺
BYOP
Platte River State Park is near Louisville, Nebraska. It offers a variety of day use activities and overnight facilities. There have not been many caches in the park, so I decided to add some and encourage exploration of the park.
This is one of my first hides, so I’d appreciate constructive feedback. I rated this terrain a 2 for the immediate surroundings and the difficulty 1.5 for what is likely in summer. I’ll watch comments and adjust if necessary. If the cache won’t stay in place, there’s another location nearby that it’ll move to. Thanks to Stargazingwoman and Kaddidle (and company) for their muddy help!
The Nebraska State Parks require a $5 daily or a $26 annual permit -- check out (visit link) for additional information. The daily permits are available in a box near the park entry proper, but the annual permits are only available at this site when the Park Office is open (hours vary with season) -- see waypoint. The permit allows you to enjoy all of the State Parks, Historical Parks, and Recreation areas.
