A rock that always catches my eye on the drive between Darwin and Kathrine because of the NT Brolga symbol painted proudly upon it!!
it's a nice break from the drive and there is NO INTERNET or mobile phone reception with-in 50km at least of the cache.
Best to wear shoes. it's not a must but in the wet season the grass can be high and you never know about snakes (though i've never come across any). in the dry season the area will probably have had a fire through so watch getting that charcole all over you and back into the car.
Whatever time of the year, it will be hot so if you plan to spend a bit of time have plenty of water, and at least a hat/sunscreen
There is space on the opposite side of the road to where the cache is that is good for parking.
Be careful crossing the road and don't walk too close alongside it, it's a pretty high traffic area for NT and there are many roadtrains with tailwinds that could suck you back out onto the highway.
The rock is nice to sit on for a bit.
