BRIDGE OF SILENCE


A terrible tragedy happened here at the Fouriespruit bridge on June 25 2012 at about 08h00 when a bus with 70 people went through the bridge barrier and into the ravine. Many lost their lives here on that day.

A big cross with the words "BRIDGE OF SILENCE" and “PAIN OF SEPARATION” inscribed on it were planted on the bank of the ravine to commemorate this tragic happening.

The cache is a small magnetic container - please bring your own pen/pencil to sign the log.
Please take care when you park here.
There is a safe parking space 30 meters from the cache.
