Geocache Description:

Caching. The Final Frontier. These are the journals of the dedicated cachers. Their ongoing mission to explore new areas, to seek out new caches, to bold go where no cacher has gone before (if they want a first to find.......)

The cache has been placed in line with the "Leave No Trace" principles so there is no need to tear up the countryside. It is not hidden in or under any rocks.

The cache is not at the coordinates but can only be found by solving the puzzle below.

The Search For Spock was No 3 in the Star Trek Film series and although this may be a huge spoiler, they find him. Now all you have to do is find Spock and 30 other characters from Star Trek, Star Trek Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager and Enterprise. Each character will have been played by an actor credited as a regular, not a recurring cast member. It's only their surnames you're looking for (or their only name where relevant). One character does appear twice.

The names may be written down or across, forwards or backwards. No diagonals. Some letters may be used more than once.

When you have found all 32 characters. List down the letters not used, reading from left to right and top to bottom. Convert these letters using A=1, B=2 and then place them in the formula below in the order you found them.

N (1st 2nd) (0 3rd).(4th 5th 0).    W  6th  (7th 8th).(0 9th 10th)

No maths required. Brackets are there to brake the numbers into meaningful groups.

The Checksum for the numbers = 42

You can check your answers for this puzzle on GeoChecker.com.

The cache is one of a series placed along a forest track. It's non traditional (but finders of my other caches might recognise it from one near Slane). It is only a couple of steps from the path in the obvious spot. The track can get muddy after rain and dress for the possibility of wet and cold conditions.

The CO is very approachable for assistance as long as you can demonstrate you made some effort on the puzzle AND the FTF is gone.
