Blinkbonny Park has few outstanding features. It's a quiet place, favoured mostly by dog walkers and the local youth. Just like many local parks.
Last year, however, the council installed a new path. Looking at it now, its a simple loop around the rim of the grass. But earlier, there were workings that showed a different route.
When we wandered through the park during the excavation period, hound in tow, it was difficult to see much of the original route, as recent rainfall had washed most of the props away. (This natural vandalism might explain why the plan was abandoned.)
There had been a rectangular grid, that much was clear. The path was to go along the edges between the squares. Where we could reliably tell, we took note of how many sides of each square had been bulwarked for a path. We're assuming the path was a simple loop with no extra branches or crossings.
Can you help redraw the original path? We're curious to know how it went...
