Geocache Description:

Former NASA astronaut Charles "Pete" Conrad Jr. founded Universal Space Network in 1996.  In 1998, USN started building ground stations in Alaska and Hawaii.  The station at South Point has two 13 Meter antennas.  The station in North Pole, Alaska has 5 antennas.  North Pole station has a cache also, GC4BQV3.  There is a good book you can read about Pete Conrad called "Rocket Man".

The cache is in an Ammo Can.  Please do not climb the wall or fence.  The station is not open to visitors.
