4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

Watsons bay was originally home to the government officials who needed to be close to the mouth of port jackson and also to fisherman and traders. When Elizabeth Macarthur came to visit watsons bay in1791, she described her day of walking along the beaches and around the rocks as being, quite agreeable! Well when i came here I thought that one of our tourist hubs needed a cache. So why was there not one at the watsons bay wharf, the second most used ferry system by tourists visiting the local area? But I decided it wont be a micro under a seat. No, a short multi while waiting for the ferry. Just makesure that you leave time for the ferry thats all.

The lisred coords only take you to the first waypoint.
The final cache is at S33 50.ABC E151 16.DEF

At waypoint one, how many poles are there? Holding up the roof on the rotunda?
At waypoint two there is a plaque about the small tree that is planted there. Write down the date located at the bottom of the plaque that says when the plaque was put there. Tun this into number form (for example, if the date was 7th of march 1961, number form would look like 7/3/1961). Find a spot to sit down and do some number crunching.
A= the didgit that represents the month. Then add 1
B and E= number of poles at wp1 - 2nd last number of year at wp2
C=number of poles at wp1 - 1
D=last number in year
E, well you have already done this! Answer is the same for B
F= The didgit that is repeated three times from the date that you got from wp1

Once you have found the coords take off your shoes and do what Elizabeth Macarthur did, go for a walk on the sand!

Happy caching!
