Event cache on 7/4/13 at 12pm noon (to 1pm...or 2pm...or whenever) at the Starbuck's in the PV Promenade. The only activity planned is drinking coffee and telling stories! And discovering TBs and coins. And talking about geo plans for the big wknd...and...
Another in a series of meet & greet event caches...
[EDIT I'm adding a few local PSA's (public service announcement) in actual 'Announcement' logs down below that should be of interest to local cachers this summer. Take a look if you are interested, one is for a volunteer trail watch program, another for an update on West Nile Virus incidents in PV/Lomita (there's been an uptick). This one is just a simple opportunity to see (and make) geo friends and kickoff what for many will be a long geocaching wknd. I myself have lofty goals of finishing my 81 D/T grid, my Jasmer Challenge, and the remaining two of three legs of the geocaching mecca, the Geo HQ and the Original Cache Plaque!
This can be a chance to put faces to names, kibbitz on caches, show off and trade trackables and coin collections, get a good chance to ask anyone how to use GSAK, run macros, and make cool profile pages, etc...remember, there is free wi-fi at Starbucks anyway!
The coordinates will take you to one of two Starbucks at the PV mall area, the other Starbucks is the decoy event cache, don't go there! ;) This one is in the 'Promenade At The Peninsula' in Palos Verdes (near the movie theatre), not to be confused w/ the Starbucks in the 'Peninsula Shopping Center' a mere half-mile NW of this one.
Time of event is simply 12pm (noon) to 1pm +, since we always sit around talking afterward. Caching before or afterward is optional, I may not depending on other demands on my time...there are parties to go to!
