Another good reason to go for a short walk around Sullivans Dam. This one is a micro cache that shouldn't be hard to find but might be hard to log. The walk to the cache is only about 5- 10 minutes, depending on where you park. Please note that accessing the log does not involved any physical force, so use your head. No sign, no smiley.
To access the cache park your car at either entrance to Sullivans Dam using the waypoints provided. The Northern entrance is closer to the cache location, but parking at the Sourthern entrance could produce a nice 30 minute round trip.
The generally area is beautiful and great to explore with the kids. Please note that there is, obviously, a lot of water about, but especially beware of the water race that runs alongside the track. The short sidetrack to the cache also has a small race running alongside that can be a little hidden when the grass is long.
The cache is located at the coordinateds listed and should not be particularly hard to find the container that holds it. Once found you will have to figure out how to access the log book - no brute force required! But if you can't sign the log, you can't claim the smiley.
PLEASE ENSURE THE CACHE IS SET BACK IN THE WAY IT WAS INTENDED!! It spoils the fun if not placed back properly.
