Geocache Description:

An old school-site.....

Hard to believe there was a school here till 1969 - there's not a farm-house in sight. A wonderful feeling of isolation, almost desolation.....

There's a historical plaque and sign. Also more information at (visit link) .

The sugar-gums, some concrete foundations and the brick structure are all that remains of Glenara school. The Catholic Church next door also seems rather sad and neglected.

A good cache to break your drive....you can just see The Rock 30ks away to the north-east....

Small container with logbook, pencil and room for a couple of small swaps.....
