Geocache Description:

I grew up in the "Poodle Skirt Era."  Lotsa ruffles and netting and hoops.  Made me feel cute and fashionable.  I know that a lot of people think that skirt caching is lame, but I do know a lot of little kids who like it.  So I'm trying to make it more fun for them, and maybe you too.  Surprise is the spice of life, especially when all you expect is the ordinary.  BYOP. Cache is small but large enough for small trade items and trackables.

THROW ME SOMETHING, MISTER!!!  Lived in New Orleans when I was a young mother with kids in middle-school band who marched in the parades, and I have a large stash of Mardi Gras treasure that I just can't part with.  They should put me on "Hoarding - Buried Alive"  - cache starts out with a clean log, some Mardi Gras beads, some Mardi Gras streamers, and  doubloon throws from the early 1980s that are probably quite collectable in some circles, somewhere. Every year when Mardi Gras comes around, I remember how much I loved living on the Gulf Coast and how much I still miss it. Everybody, everywhere, should have one day a year when they can just let loose and party with no cares - and then 6 weeks of penance for it afterwards.  We're only human, after all. Laissez les bons temps rouler!
