Healing a Man Born Blind

9:1 Now as Jesus was passing by, he saw a man who had been blind from birth. 9:2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who committed the sin that caused him to be born blind, this man or his parents?” 9:3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but he was born blind so that the acts of God may be revealed through what happens to him. 9:4 We must perform the deeds of the one who sent me as long as it is daytime. Night is coming when no one can work. 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 9:6 Having said this, he spat on the ground and made some mud with the saliva. He smeared the mud on the blind man’s eyes 9:7 and said to him, “Go wash in the pool of Siloam”^. So the blind man went away and washed, and came back seeing.

9:8 Then the neighbors and the people who had seen him previously as a beggar began saying, “Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?” 9:9 Some people said, “This is the man!” while others said, “No, but he looks like him.” The man himself kept insisting, “I am the one!” 9:10 So they asked him, “How then were you made to see?” 9:11 He replied, “The man called Jesus made mud, smeared it on my eyes and told me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash.’ So I went and washed, and was able to see.”  9:12 They said to him, “Where is that man?” He replied, “I don’t know.”

Genezing van een blinde

9:1 In het voorbijgaan zag Jezus iemand die al vanaf zijn geboorte blind was. 9:2 Zijn leerlingen vroegen: ‘Rabbi, hoe komt het dat hij blind was toen hij geboren werd? Heeft hij zelf gezondigd of zijn ouders?’ 9:3 ‘Hij niet en zijn ouders ook niet,’ was het antwoord van Jezus, ‘maar Gods werk moet door hem zichtbaar worden. 9:4 Zolang het dag is, moeten we het werk doen van hem die mij gezonden heeft; straks komt de nacht en dan kan niemand iets doen. 9:5 Zolang ik in de wereld ben, ben ik het licht voor de wereld.’ 9:6 Na deze woorden spuwde hij op de grond. Met het speeksel maakte hij wat modder, hij streek die op de ogen van de blinde 9:7 en zei tegen hem: ‘Ga naar het badhuis van Siloam en was u daar.’ De man ging weg, waste zich, en toen hij terugkwam kon hij zien.

 9:8 Zijn buren en de mensen die hem kenden als bedelaar zeiden: ‘Is dat niet de man die altijd zat te bedelen?’ 9:9 De een zei: ‘Ja, die is het,’ en de ander: ‘Nee, maar hij lijkt er wel op.’ De man zelf zei: ‘Ik ben het echt.’ 9:10 Toen vroegen ze: ‘Hoe zijn je ogen opengegaan?’ 9:11 Hij zei: ‘Iemand die Jezus heet, maakte wat modder, streek die op mijn ogen en zei: “Ga naar Siloam om u te wassen.” Ik ging erheen, en toen ik me gewassen had kon ik zien.’ 9:12 Ze vroegen: ‘Waar is die man?’ ‘Dat weet ik niet,’ zei hij.

La guérison d'un aveugle

9:1 En partant, Jésus aperçut sur son chemin un homme qui était aveugle de naissance. 9:2 Ses *disciples lui posèrent alors cette question:-Dis-nous, Maître, pourquoi cet homme est-il né aveugle? Est-ce à cause de son propre péché ou de celui de ses parents? 9:3 Jésus répondit:
-Cela n'a pas de rapport avec son péché, ni avec celui de ses parents; c'est pour qu'en lui tous puissent voir ce que Dieu est capable de faire. 9:4 Il nous faut accomplir les œuvres de celui qui m'a envoyé tant qu'il fait jour; la nuit vient où plus personne ne pourra travailler. 9:5 Aussi longtemps que je suis encore dans le monde, je suis la lumière du monde. 9:6 Après avoir dit cela, Jésus cracha par terre et, avec sa salive, il fit un peu de boue qu'il appliqua sur les yeux de l'aveugle. 9:7 Puis il lui dit:-Va te laver au réservoir de Siloam. L'aveugle alla se laver et, à son retour, il voyait.

9:8 Ses voisins et ceux qui avaient l'habitude de le voir mendier dirent: -Cet homme, n'est-ce pas celui qui était toujours assis en train de mendier? 9:9 Les uns affirmaient: -C'est bien lui.
D'autres le niaient: -Ce n'est pas lui; c'est quelqu'un qui lui ressemble. Quant à lui, il disait: -C'est bien moi. 9:10 Alors on le questionna: -Comment se fait-il que tes yeux se soient ouverts? 9:11 Il répondit: -L'homme qui s'appelle Jésus a fait un peu de boue, m'en a frotté les yeux, puis il m'a dit: «Va à Siloam et lave-toi.» J'y suis allé, je me suis lavé et, d'un coup, j'ai vu clair. 9:12 -Et lui, demandèrent-ils, où est-il? -Je n'en sais rien, répondit-il.

Deze cache was de eerste cache die ik ooit legde. Met slechts een dertigtal caches op de teller werd de drang te hoog en wou ik zelf ook eentje leggen. Een beetje later kon ik mijn creativiteit ook kwijt in de WOF reeks. Deze cache is actief sinds februari 2013.
