Anyone interested can then adjourn for a beer named after Betjeman in a nearby hostelry named after Betjeman (food and other drinks are also available).
Sir John Betjeman (28 August 1906 - 19 May 1984) was a poet and broadcaster. He fought to save the famous façade of St Pancras railway station – calling the plan to demolish St Pancras a "criminal folly".
A statue of Betjeman - “hand clutched to his hat, coat-tails caught by a gust of wind” - stands alongside the Eurostar platforms at St Pancras, with slate roundels depicting selections of his writings.
