Geocache Description:

Pana'ewa- Hawaii's Lizard King

This is the third in my Hawaii County parks series. The beutiful park was named for the infamous mo`o deity Pana`ewa who lived in his forest abode.  The imagery of this mo`o or lizard is the equivalent of a large dragon-type character.  The mo`o is considered a water creature who lives in or is part of a watery landscape.  The relevance of the mo`o and forest adds another descriptive dimension to this forest and that is, this forest is wet and soggy.

This recently renovated park is so beautiful. I use to bring my son here when he was little to play on the playground, and to see the improvements the County has made, is  so awesome.

You are looking for a micro-cache hidden around the park. Like any County park in Hilo, this is a high muggle area so extreme stealth is needed during peak hours. Restrooms and telephones are located nearby as well as parking, when the park is open.

BYOP and please place the cache exactly as you find it to prevent muggles from mugging it....respect the area because the neighborhood really has a lot of malama for their park.
Mahalo to piilani7,kkuoha and mominani.....FTF!
