Geocache Description:

What a drag it is getting old...

Update August 28, 2015.A new container is in place. This one will be even more difficult to retrieve as it is even smaller. You will definitely need a tool, preferably a long thin ferrous tool.

UPDATE: November 20, 2014. Checked for bees and hornets and there none in the hiding spot. They are in the area and this may be an issue when they become active again in the spring. There are a lot of stickers here. Do not wear sandals or open-toed shoes when searching for this cache.

UPDATE: July 11, 2014. The dead tree has partially collapsed. The cache is still accessible, but the approach is a bit more difficult. Please be careful. You do not need to go down the steep embankment.

Things are different today,
I hear ev'ry mother say
Mother needs something today to calm her down
And though she's not really ill
There's a little yellow pill
She goes running for the shelter of her mother's little helper
And it helps her on her way, gets her through her busy day.

If you remember this song the chances are that you are getting old. What a drag! But even if you don't remember, you will enjoy this cache located along Cañon City's Arkansas Riverwalk. This is a very unusual container that will take some determination to retrieve. It is slightly larger than the typical micro, but bring your own writing stick. There is room for very small trade items.

I want to thank my friend Peanutlikesbeans for suggesting this cache. Thanks Ed!

There was another cache here that was recently archived. It's such a pretty spot I decided it needed another cache. There is a great view of the river here. Take a picture and post it with your log. It would be neat to have pictures from all four seasons posted.

Cache is a short distance off the trail. Don't go too close to the edge or the terrain will go from a "2" up to a "4." Keep an eye on the kids. Trail is closed at night.

Please re-hide the container as well or better than you found it.

This is # 8 in my series of Rolling Stones themed caches. The Rolling Stones released Mother's Little Helper on the UK version of the album "Aftermath" in 1966, their first album of all original material. Released in the U.S. as a single, it peaked at # 8 on the Billboard charts.

You're humming this song now, aren't you!
