Παναγιά Κυρμουσή Ελλάδα→ Κρήτη→ Μεσσαρά

Ανάμεσα σε Μορώνι και Μάκρες υπάρχουν δυο εγκατελειμμένοι μικροί οικισμοί τα Καλαθιανά και ο Κυρμουσί.
Τα Καλάθιανά σωζονται σε μέτρια κατάσταση και μπορεί κανείς να παρατηρήσει στοιχεία της Κρητικής παραδοσιακής αρχιτεκτονικής.
Σε μικρή απόσταση από αυτόν υπάρχουν ελάχιστα στοιχεία που αποδεικνύουν την ύπαρξη του Κυρμουσί.Στη κοίτη μικρού χειμάρου βρίσκεται η μη χρονολογημένη παλιά κρήνη του οικισμού και δύο μικρές εκκλησίες του 15ου αιώνα, η Αγία Ειρήνη και η Παναγιά Κυρμουσί. Τα ίχνη κτηρίων δίπλα στο ναό της Παναγίας και τάφοι που έχουν ανασκαφεί υποδηλώνουν την ύπαρξη μοναστηριού.
Στην γύρω περιοχή ήλθαν στο φως αρχαιολογικά ευρήματα υστερομινωικής περιόδου και βρίσκονται στο αρχαιολογικό μουσείο Ηρακλείου.
Μπορείτε να πάτε από χωματόδρομο είτε από το Μορώνι είτε από τις Μάκρες. Ρωτείστε στο χωριό για την κατάστασή τους.

Kalathiana and Kirmousi are two very small old villages that are between Moroni and Makres Village.
Kalathiana village, though ramshackle, offers a great opportunity to see the Cretan traditional architecture.
 
Nearby Kalathiana there is the village of Kirmousi. In this village you can only see the old fountain and two churches, Panagia Kirmousi and Agia Irini, both built in the 15th century. There was probably a monastery there, too.
 
Archeological items from the Minoan era have been also found in the area all around and are now exhibited in the Heraklion Archaeological Museum.
 
To get there, you need to take some dirt roads that start from the village of Moroni or Makres, but you’d better ask the local people about their condition and how accessible they are for your car.
