Najprej odstranite streho / First remove roof

Sveti Miklavž je majhna cerkvica v vasi Stari Grad. Zgrajena je bila leta 1627 v spomin na kugo. Leta 1789 so jo nameravali opustiti, saj je bila stavba zelo stara in v slabem stanju. Na prošnjo vaščanov, ki so se obvezali, da jo bodo vzdrževali, pa je ostala. Ljudje so namreč imeli veliko zaupanje v svetega Miklavža – zaščitnika pred nevarnostjo vode. Reka Sava je namreč v stari strugi tekla blizu vasi in jo pogosto poplavljala. Znan je primer iz leta 1828 ali 1829, da je med mašo v kapeli, ki je stala na obali reke, voda začela tako hitro naraščati, da je duhovnik komaj končal obred, ljudje pa so lahko rešili le antipendij in križ iz kapele, ki jo je narasla voda spodjedla in odnesla.
 
Cerkev stoji ob cesti, ki povezuje Krško z Brežicami. To je v teh krajih priljubljena kolesarska pot. Če boste zaklad obiskali s kolesom, ki ima zračnico z "auto" oziroma " schrader" ventilom in pripadajočo tlačilko, boste do zakladka prišli brez težav. V primeru da niste s kolesom pa le prinesite tlačilko s seboj.




St. Nicholas is the small church in Stari Grad. It was built in 1627 to memory of the plague.

The church is located by the road which connecting  Krško with Brežice. Here this is popular cycling route. If you are  visiting cache with bicycle, which has a tube with "auto / schrader " valve and appropriate pump, you can get to cache easily.  If you are not with bike, than make soure, that you will bring pump with you.
