Situated near the intake pipes for the Echuca Water Treatment Plant, this cache is a simple micro intended to to bring you to a picturesque spot along the Murray River. The brick building above houses the massive raw water pumps that feed river water to the filtration plant a few hundred meters to the west. From there the water is filtered and "good stuff" added then pumped to water towers in the center of Echuca and also at the South footy oval.
Close by is the Echuca East Boat Ramp where you can launch your geotinnie or simply watch the varying skills of the muggle boaties as they launch theirs. Late in the afternoon you can also take some creative photos as the sun lowers and the rich reds and oranges glow on the trees across the river.
As with any cache near the river, be very careful with young children. The riverbank is quite high and steep.
