A Light Exists in Spring
A Light exists in Spring
Not present on the Year
At any other period --
When March is scarcely here
A Color stands abroad
On Solitary Fields
That Science cannot overtake
But Human Nature feels.
It waits upon the Lawn,
It shows the furthest Tree
Upon the furthest Slope you know
It almost speaks to you.- Emily Dickinson
Yes, through ice, wind, cold, and freezing temperatures the promise of spring each year is our beacon of the promise of a new beginning. It has been our pleasure each year to host an event to say thank you to all the fellow cachers we meet along the caching trail. Your caches might keep us scratching our heads, climbing trees, hanging from cliffs, and wading through water BUT the joy of our names on the log sheet and the memory of the adventures.
Be our guests and enjoy a fire in the backyard - yard games - friends - and geocaching tales - the menu: Brabecue pork, string beans, baked beans, potatoes, slaw, and hush puppies. Due to Mad Dawg's shoulder surgery (due to accodent last May) we will not have s stew nor oysters. He is recovering SLOWLY but he is on the mend and is looking forward to seeing eveyone. Spud aka Mad Dawg underwent a name change due to a wine tatsing event.
Please post the number attending in your log so we can prepare accordingly.
Times may change if leaders for informal workshops volunteer - we will keep you psoted.
