The Karr/Mercer Barn was originally built in 1876 and was one of the earliest hay-drying barns constructed in the Chilliwack area. Although it was relocated to Derby in Langley, it remains one of the oldest extant barns in the Fraser Valley and is an important physical reminder of pioneer farming and building techniques. This barn is located at the west end of the trail near the parking lot of the Historic Cairn of Fort Langley.
Please note the trail in Fort Langley to the Salmon River Pump house on the east side of Fort Langley golf course is open from 6:00 AM to Dusk. The time switches here from Dawn to dusk and once inside the Derby reach park then the hours are Derby Reach Park Hours
