Brigadegeneral Francis X. Hummel ist ein vielschichtiger „Bösewicht“. Bei einer fingierten Kontrolle eines Munitionsdepots für chemische Kampfstoffe brachte er 15 mit VX-Gas bestückte Raketen in seine Gewalt. Mit einem Marine-Force-Reconnaissance-Kommando verschanzte er sich mit 81 Touristen als Geiseln auf „The Rock“ und droht, die mitgebrachten Raketen auf Berlin abzufeuern. Seine Forderung: ein Lösegeld von 100 Millionen Euro von einem geheimen Konto der Bundes-Regierung.
Der Bundes-Regierung stehen nicht viele Möglichkeiten offen, um auf die Bedrohung Berlins durch einen Gasangriff zu reagieren. Der einzige zur Bekämpfung von VX-Gas dienliche Kampfstoff „Thermit-Plasma“ befindet sich noch in der Erprobung. Deswegen entscheiden sich die Verantwortlichen, einen Einsatztrupp der Bundeswehr auf die Insel zu schicken, um General Hummel und seine Männer zu überraschen und die Raketen so wieder unter Kontrolle zu bekommen.
Für die Entschärfung der Raketen wurdest du gerufen. Ein weiterer Agent begleitet den Bundeswehr-Trupp, um ihn durch das Tunnelsystem unter „The Rock“ zu führen. Ihr steigt durch den Duschraum ein, nach einem Feuergefecht, bei dem der gesamte Trupp ausgeschaltet wird, fliehen du und der Agent in die Leichenhalle. Dort findet ihr 12 der 15 Raketen und entschärft sie. Eine weitere macht ihr auf dem Dach des Büros unschädlich. Als dann eine abgefeuert wird und Hummel sie absichtlich ins Wasser stürzen lässt, kommt es zur Meuterei. Hummel stellt klar, dass er kein wahnsinniger Mörder sei und die Mission gescheitert sei, da sie lediglich auf der Androhung von Gewalt basiert habe. Daraufhin erschießen die Söldner Hummel und seine Gefolgsleute und wollen die letzte verbliebene Rakete vom höchsten Punkt der Insel abfeuern. Der Agent und du müssen dies vereiteln.
Brigadier General Francis X. Hummel is a complex "villain". In a fictitious control of an ammunition depot for chemical weapons he brought 15 rockets into his power. All of them are stocked with VX gas. With a Marine Force Reconnaissance command he entrenched himself and 81 tourists as hostages on "The Rock" and threatenes to fire the rockets onto Berlin. He called for a ransom of 100 million euros from a secret account of the federal government.
The federal government doesn't have many options to respond to the threat of a gas attack. The only useful to combat VX gas would be "thermite plasma" which is still in the testing. Therefore a military troop of the "Bundeswehr" was sent on the island to catch unawareness of General Hummel and his men and get the rockets back under control.
You were called to defuse the rockets. Another agent accompanies the "Bundeswehr"- squad to lead them through the tunnel system under "The Rock". You enter through the shower room, after a gun battle, in which the entire squad was killed, you and the agent flee into the morgue. There you will find 12 of the 15 missiles and defuse it. You neutralize another on the roof of the office. When one rocket is fired and Hummel purposely leads it into the water, it comes to mutiny. Hummel clarifies that he isn't insane and the mission was a failure, although it was based solely on the threat of violence all the time. After that Hummel and his men were shot by the mercenary who want to fire the last remaining rocket from the highest point of the island. You and the agent have to prevent it.
Finde die letzte VX-Gas Rakete und entferne den Steuerungschip, um die Geiseln und Berlin zu retten. Sei vorsichtig beim Entschärfen. Wenn dir eine Kugel von der VX-Kette abgeht, wird das Gas austreten. Bitte äusserste Vorsicht beim Rausnehmen und Reintun.
Find the last VX gas rocket and remove the control chip to save the hostages and Berlin. Be careful when disarming. If you drop a sphere of the VX-chain, the gas will leak. Please ... extreme caution when extracting and inserting again.
