Geocache Description:

Park Manager, Wade said to Pitty Pat while they were here as hosts at General Coffee State Park that he would like to see more geocaches in here.  So, Pitty Pat and I went on a mission to try to get that done.  Our goal is to get everyone in here to walk/bicycling the trails and get fit, see the nature, stop by to see the barnyard animals, take pictures, learn about the rare and endangered plants. Make a whole day out of it or enjoy a weekend.

General Coffee State Park is one of southern Georgia's "best kept secrets", this park is known for interpretation of agricultural history at its Heritage Farm, with log cabins, a corn crib, tobacco barn, cane mill, barnyard animals and other exhibits.  Seventeen Mile River winds through a cypress swamp where the park hosts rare and endangered plants.  The threatened indigo snake and gopher tortoise make their homes in this wiregrass community.  Learn what wiregrass is and please make sure you don't step on it.  This park was donated to the state by a group of Coffee County citizens in 1970 and is named after General John Coffee, a planter, U.S. Congressman and military leade.

The coordinates will take you to the welcome sign at the entrance.  You can park in the parking spots at the office and make a short walk to the coordinates to search for the cache.  Please make sure you put the cache back where it belongs.
