Geocache Description:

What better way to beat the winter blues than to have a party. And what better reason to have a party than to celebrate all those geocachers who have a winter birthday!

Join us at Moose Winooski's in Barrie on


 

Wednesday, February 27th from 6:00pm - 8:00 pm

The Venue


I have reserved the dining area for 60 geocachers so be sure to log your "Will Attend" ASAP and be sure to include the number in your group. If we exceed the maximum number I will create a waiting list.

Winter Birthdays


Let's admit it, winter birthdays are the worst. It's cold and miserable outside and there is no hope of an outdoor pool party or a picnic to celebrate the day of our birth. So in honour of all geocachers who were born in the winter months between Dec 21 and March 21 this party is for you. Come dressed to party, be prepared to wear the Moose Birthday Horns and together we will celebrate the wisdom that was gained by another year of geocaching.

Gift Exchange


Since it's a birthday party, there has to be presents! An optional gift exchange will be held for all cachers (even if it's not your birthday). Everyone is invited to bring a wrapped geocaching related birthday present (roll of camo tape, bison tube, bug repelent, nano cache, batteries, cache container, travel bug, swag... you get the idea) and exchange it for a gift ticket when you arrive. At 7:30pm (after several ticket swaps) the ticket holders will then claim their gift and it is theirs to keep!

Birthday Treats


Bring ID with proof that you are a winter baby (Dec 21 - Mar 21) to claim a special gift. Bonus points if you can guess the birthday of the host. Other birthday treats will be available for all so be sure to mark your calendar and log your will attend.  

Travel Bugs


If you have any travel bugs hibernating in your caching bag during the winter be sure to bring them along so they can be exchanged with other cachers.
