Geocache Description:

Starting part way along the Clayton-Meadows loop you'll be taken on an adventure along beautiful trails and through family parks to find this letterbox, a tribute to WIllowbrook.

The Langley Meadows/Clayton area is rapidly developing, and as we lose forest, we are at least gaining some new trails and small parks. The "Clayton-Meadows Loop" is a very unofficial name the LANMonkeys have assigned to a route that includes many of these areas, and takes you past several caches from us and other cachers. At this link you will find Township of Langley Trail Maps for the area.

This cache is a letterbox, so let's get right to it.

The adventure starts at the coordinates for ground zero, where you'll follow the road North until you receive a sign to play chess.
You will find three white pawns with red trim; jump these pawns and proceed North to another set of three pawns.
Turn West and follow the pathway until you have passed 7 benches.
If you look about 30m to the NorthWest you will see two more pawns which you must jump.
Continue the path until you've completed this pattern on your right-hand side:
wood, concrete, wood, concrete, wood
Pass 7 cedars and if you turn South you'll see two more pawns
Follow the slowly winding Southerly path until you approach three more pawns beside the ineffective wooden walls
Head South to greet Mr. Schwarz (think: German), then carefully proceed to visit his twin brother who is escaping from two more pawns with two green & yellow rooks
Continue West past the chess pieces until you are instructed not to play golf
Continue along the path to the big rocks, and proceed another 30 m
You're standing upon the edge of a checkmate, wooden it be sweet to finish your match now?
