A Geocache placed in Saint Mary's Churchyard. This is a part of the Hands In project where Woodcraft groups across the country are placing caches that reflect their group in places important to them.
This one is placed by the Woodcraft Folk's Folk House team. Woodcraft Folk are an equal and co-operative youth movement.
The cache is placed in a local park called St Mary's Church Yard, which is a lovely green space just off the busy Elephant and Castle roadabout. As suggested by the name the area did used to be a church yard where a few historical figures were buried. The graves have all been moved since the church was destroyed. The park is a lovely place to escape the busy London life and works as a key community space for those living in the area.
At the time of placing the cache contained a Beebear, Crayons, Spinning Top, Friendship band and a Pen.
