Famous Duck Series: #1
Donald Duck
This series is a tribute/emulation/spoof of another series of caches familiar to all. These caches spoof both the name and the format. They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, but knowing the CO's of the FP Series and the other FD Series, let's just call it a coincidence, okay? ;-)
***Important Note***
Mud & deep road ruts: choose the day you visit and the vehicle you do it in carefully! I would advise a high-clearance vehicle when the road is dry! These are just suggestions, to keep you and your vehicle safe and unharmed.
******************
The entire series is along a dirt road that may be difficult to navigate especially in a car with low clearance, and extra-especially after a good rain. I would suggest a hearty truck that you don't mind taking off-road. All that being said, I don't even have a vehicle like that, and I placed all these caches with my mid-sized sedan - not that I am recommending that you do that. If you have any questions as to the possible difficulties of the terrain, check out out guido71's Stuck in the Mud cache (GC1BE0N) that is close by, or check out my log dated 1/31/13 on FP#150 (GC19WFE) which is also close by and is responsible for spawning this series.
Donald Duck was created at Walt Disney in 1934. He has since been in too many films and cartoon shorts to count. He is typically featured in a sailor suit with a hat and bow tie. He is characterized as a mischevious and curious duck with semi-intelligible speech that has been widely copied by comedians and others. Since he was developed, he has been drawn primarily by 3 different artists at Disney. He has now appeared in more cartoons and films than any Disney character. This has lead to the creation of a whole host of related duck characters, such as Donald's love interest, his nieces, nephews, and others. He is also the world's 5th most published comic book character, after Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, and Wolverine.
Q: What time does a duck wake up?
A: At the quack of dawn!
Now that's got to quack you up!
You are looking for a small plastic centrifuge tube.
