Kiptopeke is located on the Southern Tip of Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The 75th Anniversary cache is located right off a solid surface and will require a few steps in the sand. The cache is designed to be enjoyed by all ages. Please note that if you are coming from Virginia Beach you will have to pay a toll to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel.
The geocache that you will encounter on this trail will provide you with information on the history of Kiptopeke State Park. The history will mainly look at the mid 20th Century when the ferry was brought to Kiptopeke Beach. In addition, the cache has an activity associated with the history of the park. The cache is located in a small clear plastic waterproof box. After you have successfully completed the trail you will find a 75th Anniversary card that is specific to Kiptopeke State Park. These cards are yours to keep and can be redemmed for rewards.
