You are seeking a short two stage multi cache that begins at the grave marker for Jeremiah James Watkins, a veteran of the Mexican War and of the Civil War. Jeremiah’s father was also fought in the Revolutionary War, and still managed to get married 4 times and father 24 children.
Jeremiah served as a Private in the 13th US Infantry during the Mexican War from 1847 to 1848.
During the Civil War Jeremiah served as a Private in Company G of the 3rd Alabama Reserves.
After the Civil War, Jeremiah settled in Big Sandy area of Tuscaloosa County, a place refered to as Frierson.
