Geocache Description:

This cache is placed to remember my dad, who passed away in Feb 2013.
We spent many an hour fishing here, sometimes just the two of us, but mostly with my two sons who would keep him occupied with all the goings on in their world. It was never about the fishing, it was about the chance to catch up on each other's news, spending quality time together, and enjoying his amazing stories of growing up during the depression.

'Bill's' real name was Reg, but when the first grandchild rocked up in !984, he didn't like the sound of Grandad, so instead took on the name of his favorite uncle, Bill. The second of nine children, he spent his formative years living in a tent on the banks of the Murray at Swan Hill.
He often said that if it wasn't for rabbits and fish, they would've starved.
He eventually left home at 16 and got a job in Melbourne working for the State Savings Bank, where he worked for 39 years. When he retired at 55 due to ill-health, (3 hold-ups will do that) he and my mum bought a little farm up the road at Bamawm, with plenty of room for any and all of us ten kids to come up and stay. He always had things to show the grandkids when they arrived, snake skins, huge yabby claws, wild bees nests, etc. It was like  a wonderland to see all these exciting things. He was also an avid gardener, and would fill our cars with fruit and vegies, all beautifully organically grown, and of course a dozen eggs from the chooks.

When you find this cache, spend a few moments remembering someone special in your life, and think of the happy times, not the sad.

Cache is in the obvious place, and a FTF pen is available for the FTF
