THE TRAIL BOSS Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

IgnotusPeverell: Greetings. I'm IgnotusPeverell, one of the volunteer reviewers for geocaches submitted to Geocaching.com.

I can't find any recent responses from PopO 2 9 about maintaining this cache which makes it appear they are either unwilling or unable to maintain this geocache. Cache maintenance includes: replacing broken or missing containers, replacing full or wet logs, updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing the needs maintenance attributes, enabling the listing, and more. Check out all of a geocache owner's responsibilities here. This cache is being archived, and removed from the active cache listings.

"If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived."

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

This cache is located at an intersection of two major US highways in Artesia, NM.

In an attempt to locate a Geocache at each of the primary section and township intersections in the Artesia, NM area, I have broken my tradition of creating a non-traditional container to settle for a more traditional container as this location is not suitable for a container that would certainly seem out of place.

The TRAIL BOSS is one of many bronze sculptures of Artesia Main Street’s endeavors to honor the foundation on which the community is founded. Please visit the linked website which will guide you to a walking tour of each of these wonderful sculptures located close to this location.

If you are a resident of the area and familiar with the heritage of those who founded the Pecos Valleys’ cities, towns and villages, we share a common respect for the blood, sweat and tears shed by those who sacrificed so much to make our communities what they are today.

If you are a visitor to our community; Welcome to Southeastern New Mexico, certainly the best part of the Land of Enchantment in my opinion. A place where you will be greeted with a smile, a wave and the question, Where Ya’ll from? Regardless of your answer, you will be treated with respect and honor.

We love Football, Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, Swimming, and Bowling. You name it, and we support it!

Thanks for Geocaching the Artesia area.

FTF prize of a $1 bill. Go inside and buy a cold drink.
