Geocache Description:

This cache is at Sunset Point Park. Be careful if you seek this cache after dark. There are no guardrails and you could drive or walk over the cliff. The difficulty of the terrain in reaching the cache varies depending upon the level of the lake.

Ah, another "park and grab" cache you say,
Indeed, from the parking lot it is only feet away.

But perhaps a neat enough place to make it worthwhile,
Even if a difficulty one is not normally your style.

Follow the coordinates to the penultimate tree,
From there nor' nor' east 150 feet the cache will be.

Boulders and rocks are here all around,
But in a small crevice, the stash can be found.

The level of the lake when we first scouted this spot was 517 ft. By the time we got permission for placement, the heavy rains in mid-March had brought the lake level to nearly 523 ft, which ultimately changed the shoreline dramatically. The conservation level, (and most common level of the lake) is 522 ft. Click here for information about Lewisville Lake, including links to the lake level, or click here for a graph of the lake level for the last 15 days. .

We thank the City of Highland Village Department of Parks and Recreation for permission to place this cache. They have asked me to remind you that since this park is in a suburban area, please use caution and do not place knives or other items that would be inappropriate should this cache be found by unsupervised children.
