The Favorites Challenge Mystery Cache

This is a challenge cache. The cache IS at the posted coordinates.

One of the first things I do when planning a vacation is to create a pocket query of the location and click on the blue ribbon to sort the most favorited caches to the top. With that quick sort, I know my family will be visiting some wonderful locations. To encourage others to seek out some of the most favorited caches, I have placed this challenge cache. I do qualify for this cache and my score is 7594. This score was increased to 13,570 after visiting Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon the summer of 2014. And as of 9/30/15, after the Block Party in Seattle, it has increased to 21,148. My total as of 11/1/17 is 27,999. My total as of 9/7/2018 is 30,570. My total as of 3/6/2022 is 40,460.

In order to log this cache, you must have completed the following requirements:

The Requirements:

1) You must have found 20 caches with more than 20 Favorite Points each.

2) Within these 20 caches, there must be 6 different cache types (traditional, mystery, virtual, multi, earthcache, webcam, etc...)

3) Total up the Favorite Points for these 20 caches.

4) Either bookmark the 20 caches and include the Favorite Points total in your log, or use the following macro to list your caches and attach the screen print to your log.

5) Come to the posted location and sign the log.

This Fantasy Favorites macro was created by Cookshome for their caching friend who placed two favorites caches in Iowa. I have brought this cache to Illinois with the o.k. of that Iowa cacher. If you want the most points available, be sure you first use the "refresh cache data" option under the "geocaching.com access" menu item. This will update the favorite totals for the caches in your filter or you can do one cache at a time.

A helpful tip for non GSAK users from Mgbmusic:

The easiest way to tell if you qualify and track points is to go to your PUBLIC profile, (basically the profile everyone else sees when they click your name) click Geocaches -> All Geocache Finds -> And click the "Favorites" column header. This will sort all your finds in order of favorite points.

The Rules:

1) Your score will be determined by the total Favorites Points for your 20 caches at the time I verify and post your score to the leaderboard.

2) If you write a qualification note and change the log to a Find in the future, could you either drop me an email, or post another note so I can add you to the leaderboard? I don't want to forget anyone and that way I'll get a notification. Thanks!

The Nice part:

1) Even though you have to be a Premium Member to reward Favorite Points, you do not have to be a Premium Member to find and log this challenge cache.

2) Just for fun and because Favorite Points change, if you want to post a note saying your score has changed, I will modify the leaderboard.

3) You can pre-sign the cache log if you are in the area and then log the cache online when you qualify.
