There is plenty of good footpaths in the area and are suitable for children. I chose this area to hide caches as it always brings back many memories from my childhood as most of my spare time was spent in the area. The river itself has changed over the years due to flloding.
If you drive along the A691 and turn on to Shotley Grove Road there is a car park situated at the very end of Shotley Grove Road which is a good point to start. Cross over the new bridge and there is a number of paths that can be followed to arrive at the cache. At times the area can be quite muddy so good foot wear or wellingtons is recommended.
The cache is a small plastic container with log book, pencil and a few things to swap.
