Der Ewaldibach, in manchen Quellen liest man auch vom Laerer Mühlbach, hat seinen Namen nach den heiligen Brüdern Ewalde (693 n.Chr.). Sie haben der Legende nach hier die Quelle aus dem Boden sprudeln lassen. Ihr findet hier auch die Hinweistafel des Heimatvereins auf die Legende. Der Name Mühlbach passt in gewisser Weise auch, denn er trieb früher auch eine Mühle an, die am Ausgang des jetzigen Dorfteiches (Wellings Teich) stand.

The Ewald stream, in some books one reads from Lærer Mühlbach, was named after the holy brothers Ewalde (693 AD). In the legend they let the source bubble up here. You will also find a billboard of the club devoted to local traditions. The name fits Mühlbach, in a way, because it drove a mill in the past, which stood at the output of the current village pond (Wellings pond).
