(IT) L'ex cava è diventato un luogo curioso ma non facile da raggiungere: non è possibile salire direttamente dalla strada, delle proprietà private "bloccano" il passaggio. Il multi vi porterà a scoprire la cascina Respaù.
(EN) The curiosity of the place is an abandoned quarry, simple to reach...but you had to follow the path I described, because private properties blocks the direct access from Via Varesina. The first question will let you discover the Respaù hostel.
LA CASCINA Respaù, un luogo di incontro per i viaggiatori dove scoprire i prodotti tipici e come vengono coltivati.
LA CAVA, ampiamente sfruttata e scavata, ha preso la forma di una grotta. Lo spazio della cava ha la forma di un invaso costruito, assimilabile al proscenio acustico di un teatro. Si percepisce il fascino silenzioso di un ambiente ricco di mistero, dove nelle stratificazioni rocciose è scritta la storia della terra.
Partite da piazza Camerlata e salite la strada ciottolata, seguendo le indicazioni dei cartelli, sempre dritto, raggiungerete la cascina Respaù. Qui dovete cercare tra i pannelli esplicativi (coordinate nel listing, QUIZ). Quante sono le foto sul pannello nello spiazzo vicino alle bandiere? Questo numero sarà "X", ricordatevelo, servirà per a posizione finale del cache.
Tornate sui vostri passi e scendete lungo la mulattiera fino all'inizio del sentiero che ho segnalato nel listing (c'è anche la foto). Qua inizia la parte difficile, i sentieri da qui in avanti saranno visibili ma la vegetazione è molto fitta. Potete subito scavalcare il muro nel punto indicato come waypoint e seguire i sentieri all'interno di esso. Oppure potete costeggiarlo e salire, girare l'angolo del muro (attenzione: è fattibile ma bisogna stare attenti) e proseguire ancora per qualche metro fino a trovare una breccia nel muro stesso. Qualsiasi scelta abbiate preso, una volta superato il muro, seguite le indicazioni del gps verso le coordinate finali N 45 47.542 // E 009 04.X42. Purtroppo la vegetazione è fitta e ci sono solo tracce di sentiero, comunque se riuscirete nell'impresa troverete la cava, sbucherete nel punto più alto dove potrete godere del panorama della pianura a sud di Como grazie alle passerelle installate per i turisti.

P.S.: Per tornare avete due scelte: tornare dalla stessa strada oppure potete continuare a scendere dopo aver trovato il cache e cercare di scavalcare per uscire in prossimità del cancello che incontrerete. Non scendete oltre, non c'è uscita.)

THE QUARRY, widely used and dug, took the form of a cave. The space of the groove has the form of a reservoir, similar to a theater's acoustic proscenium. There you can feel the quiet charm of a room full of mystery, where earth's history is written in rock layers.
Start from Piazza Camerlata (cobbled street) and follow the directions of the signs (straight) to reach the farmhouse Respaù. Here you have to search the information panel near the flags (coordinates in listing, QUIZ). How many photos there are on the panel? This number will be "X", it will serve for final location cache coordinates.
Retrace your steps and go down the trail until the beginning of the path that I have pointed out in the listing ( there is also a picture ) . Here begins the hard part , the paths from here will be visible but the vegetation is very dense . From that point you can choose: 1) climb the wall at the trailhead waypoint indicated, then follow the trails to the cache 2) follow the wall up high until the edge, turn it and search for the aperture (not so easy) Whatever choice you have made , once past the wall , follow the instructions of the GPS to the final coordinates N 45 47.542 // E 009 04.X42. Pay attention: the vegetation is dense and there are only traces of the path. You will reach the top of the quarry zone, there you can see the south Como field. Then search, find and replace the cache with care ;)
Don't forget to bring an item to trade and enjoy hunting! P.S.: To go back follow the same path, otherwise follow the trail down after finding the cache and climb the wall next to the gate. Don't go down further because there's no exit br />
