What a way to end your day!!! Another Unique 'Q' cache for a final. Big Creek park holds some unique special caches so I did not want to dissapoint you at the final. You will need to find 6 caches within Big Creek Park that will reveal the final coords. After arriving at GZ you will be able to see and touch the cache but the log will be under lock and key! Have fun and take your time.
The cache is NOT located at the above coords. So please do not try to bushwack your way out into the middle of nowhere!! It is labeled a 4 difficulty only because you have to find 6 other caches to get the coords to the final. To find the proper coords for the final you must find the first 6 caches listed below that are also within the Big Creek Park area. Special Note... caches 7 & 8 are not needed to find the final...but, they are also one-of-a-kind caches to find...so do them at the end
***Important parking info***When you come into the parking area... make an immediate right and park anywhere in the cul-d-sac area...Do not go straight or down the gravel drive...horses are there and it may spook them in their coral. the trailhead coords are: N 39 48.252 W 088 52.786
I talked to the managers to get permission to set geocaches in this park...and they said it would be ok with a few rules...Please NO DOGS...We are asking that dog owners please leave their dogs at home to cache in this park... this is a horse stable and from time to time horses may be trotting through the trails so they ask no dogs be brought on the property... not even in your car...please. Also, even though it is park district property... They are requesting NO Night Caching.... please cache from sun up to sundown... they open around 7 a.m.
There are 8 different single caches in this park area... from the parking area...follow the trailpath down the hill going NW. There you will find the trail head that will lead you north to 15 meters..follow the trail up and around in a big loop and finish up at All Locked Up-2 GC44GMK and do the Nuts & Bolts last as it is near your car. All eight will lead you around in a big loop and bring you back near the parking area. Please give your self about 1 1/2 hours to complete all 8 of them and to leave by sunset. They were nice enough to give permission to the geocachers in the area...so please enjoy the woods, the walk and the outdoors... and the rules...and we can all enjoy a fun time of geocaching.
Once you have found Ground Zero at the Final... you will be able to see and touch the cache but the log is under lock and key. The key is within reach and I have provided a special Geo Tool for you to go 'fishing' for it hehe. Find the following caches to retreive the correct coords.
