This cache is placed near Winnington Works which has a long history and a big influence on our local area.
Rather than writing a long description that most will hover over, for those that might be interested - punch into google 'ICI Northwich or 'Brunner Mond'. It's pretty interesting!
These works around Winnington/Wallerscote get a lot of stick and are labelled as an 'eye-saw'. Yet being a Northwicher and somewhat of a traditionalist, I'd sooner see these structures than a charachter-less new-build housing estate any day.
You can park up near the entrance to Tata Chemicals if need be.
